See, that’s the great thing about America – our diversity. It gives us a depth that the old world doesn’t quite have yet.  While they have centuries of history on us, we have this wide spectrum of what it means to be an American.  So you are required to take a human diversity class.  And in that class you’re required to do some library research.  We have got this totally covered – some of these resources are really unique and interesting, so even if you’ve already fulfilled this requirement, you still might wanna check out:

• Multicultural America: An Encyclopedia of the Newest Americans  This resource covers the newest immigrants to the U. S. Excellent historical information as well as reasons for migration to the U.S. and demographic profile stats.
• A companion to American cultural history  This companion resource provides an overview to the history of the introduction of cultural and ethnic groups to America.
• Encyclopedia of race, ethnicity, and society  This online encyclopedia provides detailed information on the immigration and cultural development of ethnic groups.
• Ethnic NewsWatch
  Comprehensive collection of newspapers, magazines, and journals of the ethnic, minority, and native press. All articles are full-text. Updated quarterly. 1990- .
• African American Studies Center
  The African American Studies Center contains brief articles on all aspects of the African-American experience along with images, primary sources, time lines, maps, tables, and reference resources. Limited to 3 simultaneous users.
• The Oxford encyclopedia of Latinos & Latinas in the United States
• Contemporary Women’s Issues
  Contemporary Women’s Issues “provides full-text access to global information on women in over 190 countries. It indexes books, journals, newsletters, research reports from non-profit groups, government and international agencies, and fact sheets. It includes links to full-text articles for many resources.”
