Book Spine Poetry Contest Update!

Ireland Library is excited to announce a couple of weekly winners in the month-long Theological Libraries Month Book Spine Poetry Contest!

Dr. David Jenkins, Liturgical Music Director, submitted the Book Spine Poem “O Blessed Spring” which was selected as last week’s best entry.

In the Ireland Staff Contest, student workers Andie and Sean won the honor with “With Roots and Wings”.

Both of these poems will be entered into the Grand Prize Contest to be held Oct 29-30.  What prize awaits this final contest you ask?  A sweet treat of the Queen’s Assortment of fine chocolates from Regina’s!

There’s still time, two weeks in fact, to submit a Book Spine Poem and two more opportunities to be selected as a finalist.  Head on down to Ireland Library today and construct a poem with books from Ireland Library.  Take a picture of it (or ask us to do it for you!) and then upload it to Facebook or Twitter tagging it with #IrelandLibraryBSP!  It’s that easy to get in!
