Coming soon – Changes to LexisNexis

AlejandroRemember as long ago as last month when you sat through a whole hour of Larry King Live just to catch a sneak peek at Lady Gaga’s Alejandro video?  (For those of you who have seen it, you’ll understand why I’m not linking to the video.  For those of you who haven’t and know the least little thing about Lady Gaga, I’m sure you can figure it out.)  The hype surrounding the sneak peek and the premier of the video is NOTHING compared to what is happening in the library world.  So brace yourselves.

Ok, you were warned.  Here goes… LexisNexis will soon be releasing a new interface and, in trying to keep up with The Gaga, they’re offering a sneak peak of it.  I mean, can you stand the frenzy?   I know, neither can I.  The old interface was a bit aughts, but the new interface…!  Man, it just screams of the twenty-tens.    The new interface premiers in all its glory on August 7th.  In the meantime, enjoy the sneak peek.

Ok, might not look EXACTLY like that, but you get the idea.  If you’re not familiar with LexisNexis you might be asking yourself, “Self, why do I care?”   Well, I can tell you LexisNexis has got a lot going on.  It’s a great place to get news from major and local US news media, as well as international coverage.  As you see from the screenshots above, it’s got legal cases, company info, biographies and country information.  So it’s a good resource to be familiar with in general.
