There is nothing more beautiful than Christmas lights, and lights have recently been popping up all over London as the Christmas season begins! Oxford Street was closed this past Sunday from 12pm-7pm to traffic for the first time ever in honor of the Christmas lights being turned on. The streets are packed with Londoners and tourists alike bundled up in their hats, mittens, rain jackets, and “wellies,” holding their favorite holiday drink from a nearby Costa or Starbucks. Within the next couple of weeks be prepared for more lighting ceremonies and holiday festivals, as well as the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping to intensify. I don’t know about you, but all I can say is let the Christmas season begin!
Cheers and happy holidays!
