Lent 2025

March 5th, 2025 marks the beginning of Lent with Ash Wednesday, ushering us into a season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving as we journey toward the celebration of Christ’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection at Easter. Lent invites us to a time of deeper reflection, repentance, and renewal, calling us to turn our hearts more fully toward God.

Throughout these forty days, the liturgy immerses us in rich Scripture readings that highlight themes of mercy, conversion, and discipleship. Figures such as Jesus in the desert, the Samaritan woman at the well, the man born blind, and Lazarus remind us of God’s invitation to transformation and new life. The Lenten season is an opportunity to embrace a spirit of simplicity, to accompany Christ in his journey to the cross, and to prepare our hearts to rejoice in the promise of Resurrection.

This year, Campus Ministry will offer weekly reflections on the Sunday Gospels, as well as special opportunities for prayer and reconciliation during Lent.

We hope these resources help you deepen your Lenten experience and draw closer to Christ.

For daily Scripture meditations, visit the USCCB daily readings.

May this season of Lent be a time of grace and renewal as we prepare to celebrate the victory of Easter.
