UST Law students raking at St. Joseph's Home for Children

October 1st was the perfect kick-off of the fall season in Minneapolis, or at least at the University of St. Thomas.

The day was gorgeous: sunny, brisk, blue-sky-ed and bathed in beautiful autumn colors.  And in southeast Minneapolis, UST Law students, faculty and families gathered to help St. Joseph’s Home for Children prepare for the upcoming fall and winter seasons.

St. Joseph’s Home for Children is a residential facility run by Catholic Charities that serves the needs of children and their families. They offer shelter and stability for children from troubled homes, and offer mental health treatment and relationship-based therapy and counseling for both individuals and families. They work to resolve emotional and behavioral issues and to help children learn coping strategies, problem solving and conflict resolution, and to help kids learn to identify and reach their goals. They’re a pretty cool group of people, and if you’re interested in learning more about them click on the following links: St. Joseph’s  and Catholic Charities. If you want more specific contact info or have questions you can speak with anyone on the Public Service Board at our office (2nd floor by the skyway entrance) or email us at   Continue Reading
