Greece, J-term 2016 Trip

Day 12 ~ Athens

Our last day in Athens was great! We had a late start this morning and were thankful for a little bit more time to sleep. Our guide met us at our hotel and we took the bus to the National Archeological Museum which is the largest museum in Greece. We toured the museum for two hours and saw many ancient Greek artifacts and art.

We had some free time in the afternoon which we used to get lunch, do laundry, and shop around. Class was at three, and we had a lecture from Dr. Hennessey on Kernel and Range. After class we had the whole afternoon free before our farewell dinner, so we took naps, worked on homework, did some more shopping, and a variety of other things.

We met our guide in the evening for our farewell dinner and walked to a nearby restaurant. We had a wonderful dinner of traditional Greek food and there was a wedding party seated right next to us! We learned some Greek dances and listened to live music before heading back to the hotel for the night. We will miss Greece so much!
