OPPORTUNITY FROM NESTLE: Deadline Nov. 6th!

Next Tuesday, November 6th is the last day to apply for the 2013 Nestlé USA Leadership Symposium for Diverse Leaders of Tomorrow.  New applicants and those who may have already started the process should hurry to submit materials before it’s too late! 

The Nestlé USA Diversity Leadership Symposium  is a 4-day business program designed for undergraduate minority students interested in a career in business and learning more about potential opportunities with Nestlé USA.  Applicants should demonstrate strong leadership skills through involvement in student organizations on or off campus. 

Ideal for students interested in internship opportunities and careers in the following business functions: 
•    Human Resources
•    Sales
•    Finance/Accounting
•    Purchasing
•    Food Science
•    Packaging
•    Engineering
•    Logistics/Supply Chain

Thirty students will be selected for this unique opportunity to meet with Nestlé senior corporate executives, take a customized leadership training course, serve as volunteers in the local Los Angeles community, and network with key representatives for Nestlé’s internships and full-time programs.  Open to students with expected graduation dates between December 2013 and June 2016.  See website for further criteria and program details. 

The 5th Annual Nestlé USA Leadership Symposium will be held April 10-14, 2013 at the Nestlé USA Headquarters in Glendale, California.  Nestlé USA will arrange all meals and pay for reasonable travel and accommodations.

Diverse Student Career Forum – SAVE THE DATE!

The Twin Cities Chapters of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance & Accounting (ALPFA) will be hosting our 3rd annual Diverse Students Career Forum on Saturday, October 1st from 9am to 3pm in Minneapolis, MN.

This is a professional development and recruiting event for diverse college students majoring in accounting, finance and other business related fields.

Here is your chance to participate in:

  • Resume reviews by hiring recruiters
  • Various professional development workshops
  • Luncheon with a keynote speaker
  • Career fair for possible internships and full-time employment

Challenge Day 2010

CHALLENGE DAY 2010

How do you live the UST mantra to “Challenge yourself, change our world?”

Learn how at this free, campus-wide event – you won’t want to miss it! 

Registrations accepted through Friday, 2/26/10:

  • Monday, March 15th at 6:30pm we’ll be hosting Dr. James Loewen to speak in OEC. He’ll be talking about how we are taught history. He’ll be discussing who’s perspective is left out, what events are left out etc… Should be really interesting!

After the lecture, join us for a community activity! The activity will be lots of fun and we’ll be providing refreshments! This event will go until 9pm.

  • Tuesday, March 16th, students will meet with faculty during convo hour to discuss the previous nights activity and lecture and how we can bring what students learned from these two events to our life here at St. Thomas. Lunch will be provided for this!

The registration is free and the deadline is Friday, February 26th!
