You are beginning to hear about the great changes that have been made to BUSN200!
We have a new location on the second floor of McNeely, in room 217. Stop by to see all of the great resources and additional staff we have to assist you in completing BUSN200 successfully. The new BUSN200 Center will be fully staffed:
Mondays – Thursdays: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Fridays: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
AND…Tuesday Nights: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Additionally, the curriculum has been revised to provide greater support.
If you are planning to complete BUSN200 you MUST begin the course within the first ten days of this semester. All students now begin BUSN200 at the beginning of the semester – the same as all other courses.
Starting on September 8, you can find the information you need begin BUSN200 at Blackboard. To locate BUSN200 at Blackboard, simply click on the “Community” tab at the Blackboard homepage. Then click on “Assignments” and complete: “Starting BUSN200” and “Sign-In & Confirm.”
You will then be instructed to go to www.stthomas.edu/ocbappointments and select your set of four Group Meetings you will attend this semester. Be certain to review the Group Meeting times very carefully as you will need to attend each of the four meetings to complete BUSN200 successfully. Failure to attend all four Group Meetings will result in your needing to begin BUSN200 again next semester – even if you thought you were going to graduate this semester.
We realize this approach may sound harsh – and it certainly is different than the approach used recently. However, we are certain you will find this new curriculum to provide you much greater support and you will find the assignments to be more meaningful and streamlined.
Also, if you are planning to complete BUSN200 this semester you will definitely want to be at the BUSN200 Service Site Fair next Tuesday, September 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the McNeely Great Room. There will be over 30 community partners present who are excited to tell you about their organizations and their service opportunities.
Please stop by the new BUSN200 Center if you have any questions, or e-mail us at: BUSN200@stthomas.edu.
