Spotlight on Delta Sigma Pi!

Thursday, November 3rd, 2011

Delta Sigma Pi is a co-ed professional business fraternity with over 270 chapters across the country. The Nu Tau chapter of Delta Sigma Pi was founded at the University of St. Thomas in 1995. Members of the organization are chosen from the fields of commerce, business administration, or economics, and share common goals and interests. Delta Sigma Pi’s purpose is to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce; and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community. This is achieved through the opportunity for leadership growth through holding a position in the fraternity, maintaining relationships with alumni, developing ties between the chapter and various corporations, and community service efforts. Members are given the opportunity to gain skills and experience that will benefit his or her career by applying concepts from classes while operating the chapter as a small business enterprise.
