JOB SHADOW OPPORTUNITY FOR SOPHOMORES & JUNIORS!

The Career Development Center has an exciting event coming up for sophomore and juniors through Travelers Insurance Operations Leadership Development Program.  Students will spend a day with current participants, learn more about insurance operations, and enjoy a free lunch.  There will be ample networking opportunities and a chance to meet the Director of the program! 

This event is aimed at Sophomores and Juniors and resume’s must be submitted by November 5th-  Selected participants will be notified by the 19th.  The actual event will be December 3rd, 8:15am-2:00pm.

Kickball Tournament

OCB Kickball Group 2010Congratulations to the Real Estate Society for winning the Opus College of Business Student Organization Kickball Tournament.  The event was held Friday, October 8, and according to Real Estate Society’s Eric Johnson, “the whole day was great.”  Overall it was a really fun event and clubs are looking forward to another kickball event in the spring.

The London Business Semester 2011 kicks-off its information sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 12 & 13 from 12:15-1:00PM in the McNeely Hall Great Room. Come to learn more about the London Business Semester for Fall 2011, courses and prerequisites, meet the faculty director, learn about what it’s like in London, and pick up an application. Priority deadline is December 6.

Eligibility Requirements
Business major or minor
Junior or Senior standing at the time of the program
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
Completion of ACCT 210; ECON 251 and 252 and IDTH 220/STAT 220 prior to departure
Good disciplinary standing
Completion of a formal application and selection interview with staff from the International Education Center.

Women in Entrepreneurship – Reception for Undergraduate Women
Reception, 5:15 – 6:15 p.m., Wednesday, October 13, McNeely Hall – Room 106

The Department of Entrepreneurship is hosting a reception for all undergraduate women who are interested in learning more about majoring or double-majoring in Entrepreneurship. Hear from UST graduates who have pursued their dreams through entrepreneurial careers, both inside established businesses and by starting their own businesses. Meet current UST Entrepreneurship majors and hear how the major is helping them prepare to create careers that they love. Speak to Entrepreneurship faculty and find out how a major or double-major in Entrepreneurship can provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to create a fulfilling career, whether inside a large corporation or in your own business. Refreshments will be provided.
