Here at St. Thomas I am fortunate to be on the Leadership board of the Students for Human Life Club, something I’m very passionate about and hope to someday make my career. We had an event right before Thanksgiving Break called the Cemetery of the Innocents and it was very well received. We set up 100 pink and blue small wooden crosses in the Upper Quad during Convo Hour on Tuesday, November 22.

One of my most favorite things about beautiful St. Thomas is our choirs. First of all, they are FREE, which is always a tremendous thing, and second of all, they are all awesome. We have four choirs: Women’s Choir (self explanatory), Liturgical Choir (sings at mass), Concert Choir (sings at concerts) and Chamber Singers (the top dogs). I am a proud third semester member of Liturgical Choir and what a semester it has been!

When I learned that I would be living in a house this year, I was pretty dang excited. The one thing that caused be a bit of worry, though, was the idea of cooking a meal every other week. I have basically no experience cooking real meals, aside from the Sunday brunch that my family often has, so I knew it would be a process. But now that it’s been two months, I’m actually enjoying cooking! The even better news is that most of the food I made has been edible!

Hello again!
This blog shall be all about the wonderful things that come with Fall Break. For many Iowans and Wisconsinites and those in the surrounding MidWest, fall break is the first time we get to go home. It’s usually a little confusing at first because you’re not used to 1. Having your own room 2. Having a whole kitchen with lots of food in it and 3. Having your siblings around.
