A Day in the Life of a J-term Tommie

Wow it’s been awhile, hasn’t it! I am happy to say I am back on campus and it’s so great to be here! I have missed this wonderful place. What am I doing with all of my January time, you ask?

Well, I’m taking a J-term class! Finite Math, to be specific. I have class from 9-12 on Tuesday-Friday mornings, then I have the whole rest of the day to do whatever I please. Which, it turns out, usually ends up being a lot of math homework, but that is totally fine because I would rather be swimming in a math pool for a month than wade through a math creek for a whole semester. Let’s just say that it feels pretty great to bring out the inner English nerd and use analogies since my brain is consumed with numbers and formulas. But, on the plus side, our math professor is a rock climber, so that’s something you don’t see everyday. He can supposedly do pull ups with only his pinkies. I’ll report back on that one.
