TOMMIE JOHNNIE PREP

USG Handing out Spirit Gear!

USG Handing out Spirit Gear!

Good Afternoon everyone. They say a picutre is worth 1000 words. I am so excited for the Tommie Johnnie Game this weekend that the only way I can give it justice is through pictures. Today is friday which is a day for most college students to rejoice for the weekend. However this weekend seems to provide the campus with an extra boost of confidence and of Tommie Pride.
USG handed out towels and shirts for the game tommrow and STAR handed out shirts and penants for the game tommrow. It is great. Even John Ireland was feeling the Tommie Pride today. Here is a collection of pictures from this afternoon. Enjoy! Go Tommies!

Welcome Speech to the Class of 2015
Welcome Speech to the Class of 2015

Well Heading into our third week of school. I can not believe how fast everything has started this year. It feels great to be back in St. Paul and back in classes. Seeing everyone and hearing about all of their awesome summer experiences has been great. Classes have not been too hard yet. I have been doing  more reading the past few weeks then I have done in a very long time but it is interesting. I am taking a nice mix of classes this semester with a class on Hobbes, Nietzche and Machiavelli, a christian Morality course and Supply Chain class. I can not believe that I am a senior. Two weeks ago I had the honor of giving the welcome speech to the incoming freshman class and it was surreal. I remember vividly my first few weeks here at UST. Tommie Ambassador Team at the MN State Fair

Tommie Ambassador Team at the MN State Fair

For the past 3 years I have been apart of the Tommie Ambassador team. It is a great way to give back to UST and get involved on campus. The Ambassador team host perspective students, give tours and really just help out the admissions office. I have made a lot of friends through this program and I have also hopefully helped a couple students decide to come to St. Thomas. It is so crazy to think that my 4 years at UST are almost up. One of the things I look forward to every year is when the Tommie Ambassador team goesto the Minnesota state Fair! It truly is the “great Minnesota Get together” It is always fun. It is not complete without a few Gander Mountain Fish hats, fish tacos and a deep fried cheeseburger and of course sweet Martha’s cookies. Pretty much Perfection in a bucket!

Now that school has started that also means that Fall sports are in full swing and you know what that means. FOOTBALL. Good thing the first few games it was warm enough to go shirtless, but as we all know MN weather will be here soon enough and it will be a little cold to go without a shirt. My buddy Joe and his roommates posing before the first football game with Fr. Dease and Tommie!! Classic Picture.

Hope everyone is having a good start to their fall semesters! Only a few more weeks of homework and classes until HOMECOMING and the Tommie Johnnie GAME!! Stay tuned its going to be a crazy last year here at ST. Thomas!

Hello Everyone.

It is crazy to think that Summer has come to an end. By far the fastest and most exciting summer I have had since college began. Working with Nestle USA was a great thing this summer. I learned so much and was exposed to such a great company. I was so very blessed to have this opportunity this summer and I have to say that St. Thomas has done a great job preparing me thus far for the “real world”.  After working all summer, I have come to appreciate the lifestyle of a college student. I am definitely going to enjoy the school year and really cherish this last year.  I am very excited to be back in St. Paul and for classes and senior year to begin!  IT IS A GREAT TIME TO BE A TOMMIE

New Anderson Student Center

New Anderson Student Center

I have been busy all summer but it looks like ST. Thomas was as well. These are just a few snap shots of the new Anderson Student Center! It is going to be an amazing addition to campus. I am so excited to go and see what the final product is going to look like. It is going to have a huge dance floor, so many places to eat a huge banquet hall and so much more!!! Check out the link above to find out more and see sketch’s of the new building. I can not wait to get int there and check it out.

The new student center will be open in the Spring! It is really going to be the best part of campus. It really opened up the lower Quad for students and will be the go to place on campus! Wait for more pictures to come! It is sad that summer is almost over of over already for many of us. I am excited for school to start but I am always sad when summer is over. Fall is my favorite season! I mean you have football, halloween, orchard visits, warm apple cider and all you need is a light jacket!

I wanted to take full advantage of my last weekend of summer before school starts! This past weekend my roommate and I flew to visit a friend of ours that goes to Alabama. We went down for the football game.  It was amazing. It was such a different experience than I am use to it was great to be with all those other students watching a football game. It made me want school to start! Luckily for me school starts here tomorrow!!!!! I am excited for another great year at St. Thomas. Good luck to everyone with their fall semester.
