Whoa I can not believe that I have already completed two years of College. Just two more years to go. Then I have to get a real job. YIKES>
It seems that this semester flew by. Between school, Student Government, Track and hanging out with my friends this spring semester flew by. It was great. I was able to tour the new Anderson Athletic Center which will be amazing when it opens this fall. I got to see the construction crews break ground on the new Anderson Student center. I took my first major class, made a lot of new friends and got to know the ones I had better. I saw a few concerts in the cities and a couple of plays. I have worked harder than I did my freshman year. I have learned so much this semester. I am excited for the summer and to start back in the fall as a Junior !!!

Friendly Rivalary
St. Thomas after my second year here has really shown me what a great school it is. It has given me opportunities to do things and meet people that I never thought I would. From going on a spring break trip to DC. To internship interviews to being a student liaison to the Board of Trustees. It has been a great two years. I can not wait to see what the next two years at UST have in-store for me. I am going to have to keep working hard with my eyes and ears open to make sure I don’t miss anything these next 4 semesters.

TARGET FIELD

GO BREW CREW!
Like I said before this semester I worked really hard. I had never studied harder than I did during finals week this semester. So after all my finals my freshman year roommate and a couple of friends went to the Brewers Twins Series at Target field. The first game was rough, the second was a battle until the end and finally on Sunday the BREW CREW game through and won it. It was a great way to end the semester before I head back to Milwaukee for the summer! GO BREW CREW.
Hope you all keep checking out the blog as I tell you about all my summer ADVENTURES!!
Hey there blog!
Wow it has been a crazy past few weeks. It has been a mad dash until the end of the semester. I will tell you that today was an excent feeling. I had my last classes of my Soph Year in College. I can not BELEIVE IT! I am almost half way done with my stay here at St. Thomas. This past few weeks I have had tests, projects a few papers and many other academic things. I have also given numerous Admissions tours in the rain and was elected to the position of Vice President of Financial Affairs for the Student Body. I have seen a Twins game in the new stadium and went to a concert. It has been a sprint to the end of the semester.

YOUR 2010-2011 Executive Board
I was also informed that this freshman class the UST class of 2014 will have the largest population of students from wiscosin! Iam pretty excited about that. We need more Packer and Badger fans up here!!! It looks like this semester is rapidly ending. I have finals next week and then back to Milwaukee for the summer. It has been a great sophmore Year! I can not wait to see what is instore for me next year! When you say Wisconsin You’ve Said it All !!!

WISCONSIN TOMMIES UNITE ! Thanks Heather for doing a GREAT job getting great students from WI!
Breast cancer is a huge issue in today’s day and age. It is estimated that 182,460 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to occur among women in the United States in 2008. That is in astronomical number of cases. I can not think of one of us that does not know someone who has been affected by breast cancer or who has it. This is why the USG Sophomore Class Council sponsored an event called Bagging Breast Cancer.

THE GOODS
The concept was simple raise money for the Susan G Komen Foundation through a bean bag toss tourney. Last weekend we had 32 teams show up and play in our tourney. It was great fun. The top prizes were Twins gear including Pink Twins Bats, jerseys and Joe Mauer Signed Statue. One of the kids on the council knows the Mauer family. We were able to get some Joe Mauer Signed gear for the event to give out as our top prize. It was two people to a team and it was double elimination.

Bags is one of my favorite lawn games. It was fun, and was helping a good cause. Due to rain we had to move it inside into the Blue lagoon lounge in MHC. It was still a blast and as you can see everyone seemed to be having fun. We raised about $400. All the proceeds will go to Sponsor the 3day Komen Event. This was all inspired in honnor of one of the council members aunt’s who had Breast Cancer and beat it!!! That is not bad for a bunch of college students on a Saturday afternoon.
> This is just one of the ways that you can get involved meet people have a great time and help someone out. This event to me I thought was right in-line with the mission and goals of St. Thomas. The emails that come from the admissions office always say ” Challenge yourself Change our World.” That’s what I think this event was able to do.
