November 8th has been my favorite day for a while, mostly due to the excitement of elections! Last year was my first year being old enough to vote, and it was a MN gubernatorial election year, so that was a very exciting moment for me.

My apartment/UST is located in Ward 3 in St. Paul, and this year was a St. Paul City Council election year, along with school board. As always, I did my research and educated myself on all of the candidates prior to voting, which is ALWAYS important to do, in my opinion. I also knew that this year holds a very important election, because City Council determines a LOT of things that goes on right here, in our neighborhood.

So… I did my civic duty and VOTED!

I encourage you, as soon as you turn 18, or IF you’re 18 (or older!), please vote! Educate yourselves on the issue, get involved and have your voice be heard!
