|You are all cordially invited to the O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library’s annual nod to April as National Poetry Month! Hear members of the St. Thomas community share their favorite poems in the warm spring air! The event will begin out on the library terrace as soon as the carillon finishes its song. Bring your friends – the library will provide refreshments!
Please note: If the weather is too rainy or chilly, the reading will be held inside — same day, at noon, in the O’Shaughnessy Room, 108.
Enjoy getting to know another side of your St. Thomas colleagues as they share one or two of the poems they love. Each year we try to hear new voices – seeking readers from all areas of campus life. Dan Gjelten will begin, followed by Emma Kopp, David Moore, John Heintz, Glenn Caruso, Seanne Harris, Todd Lawrence, Eric Tornoe, Jan Becker, Ngeri Nnachi, and Danielle Hermanny.
Please visit the online history of the St. Thomas Poetry on the Patio events. You’ll get an idea of what it’s like – who has read – what they have read – and some interesting pieces of information relating to poetry!
We look forward to seeing you Tuesday at Noon out on the Patio!
