The Career Development Center provides services and programs to assist with selecting a major, finding an internship, a seasonal, part- or full-time job.

Pathways to Science and Health-Related Careers – Thursday, April 6th, 12-1:15 pm, OWS 250

Students are invited to hear about career opportunities in science and health-related industries. Hear from a panel of professionals from Lab/Research and Development, Medical Sales, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, and Research and speak with them in small groups to get advice about how to start your career journey! Food will be provided. Register here.

Choosing a Major

If you are feeling stuck regarding choosing a major, call to schedule an appointment. One of the career counselors will meet with you to discuss your individual needs and guide you through ideas and services that will assist you in making a decision.

Employers continue to post jobs for seasonal, part-time, full-time and internships. Create a search for jobs to be emailed directly to you that meet your criteria so you can be among the first to apply.

Science and Health-Related Events in March and April #USTCareerScoop

Welcome Back!  We hope you made the most of your time away doing whatever you planned…relaxing, traveling, working or studying. You’re now in the final stretch of the spring 2017 semester. Along with the “usual” you will want to find a few minutes to check out our events and services if you are still in need of choosing a major, or finding an internship, summer job or full-time employment.

Exploring Careers in the Health Sciences – begins this week on Thursday, March 30th, 11:45 am – 1:15 pm, 124 MHC

Wondering what options there are in health careers and which one would be the “best” for you? Topics covered include; assessment of your personal and career goals, resources to use to gather more information about the variety of options available and ways to gain experiences while completing your undergraduate degree. More information and registration can be found here. The $10 assessment fee will be waived for first 20 students who register!

Hear from a panel of professionals and speak with them in small groups to get advice about how to start your career journey! Pizza and beverages will be provided. Register here.

Education Job Fair– Friday, April 21st at Mpls. Convention Center, 10 am – 3 pm

Teachers and future teachers this Fair is for you! Stop by 123 MHC to register. Must be certified by December 2017.

Pathways in Science and Health-Related Careers and Other Events #USTCareerScoop

Mark your calendars for some special events taking place this month and in April.

Pathways in Science and Health-Related Careers will be held Thursday, April 6th from 12 to 1:15 pm in OWS 250. Come hear from a panel of professionals regarding their career paths and opportunities to gain knowledge about careers that may be a good fit for you.

Exploring Careers in Health Sciences
Wondering what options there are in health careers and which one would be the “best” for you? Topics covered include; assessment of your personal and career goals, resources to use to gather more information about the variety of options available and ways to gain experiences while completing your undergraduate degree. There is a $10 fee, due on the first day, to cover the cost of the Strong Interest Inventory. We meet 3 Thursdays (3/30, 4/6, and 4/13) over the convo hour (bring your lunch!). On April 6th students will attend the Pathways in Science and Health-Related Careers employer panel referenced above. Students must commit to attending all 3 dates in order to register.
